When a child is tired, with just a little calming of the mind it becomes very easy to fall asleep. Meditation consists basically in drawing attention away from one’s thoughts and quieting the mind. Therefore, these relaxation exercises or meditations designed for children help them fall asleep quickly. In these meditations, the child is guided to take their mind off their thoughts and focus on breathing, the body, or sounds, relaxing more and more until falling asleep.

The app is integrated with HealthKit so users can track their mindful minutes in the Health app on their phone.

With the aim of enhancing the range of exercises and meditations in the application, additional meditations have been included to provide substantial benefits for a child that can be helpful throughout their life. These include learning to handle feelings of anger or frustration calmly and without dwelling on negative thoughts; understanding the joy that comes from cultivating gratitude for the positives in life; and developing a sense of calmness in various situations encountered. These are invaluable tools that are not typically explicitly taught elsewhere and can significantly support individuals throughout their lives, particularly when instilled from a young age.

The application features the following meditations:

 <li>In Search of Treasure: An exercise focusing on redirecting attention from thoughts to breathing, promoting calmness leading to eventual relaxation and sleep.</li>
 <li>Peaceful Sleep: A method to progressively relax different parts of the body peacefully, enabling the child to become more relaxed and fall asleep swiftly.</li>
 <li>I Am an Active Volcano: An exercise encouraging calmly accepting feelings of anger or frustration without getting caught up in compulsive thoughts.</li>
 <li>I Do Not Want To Be a Whiner: A guided meditation aimed at helping the child understand that complaining about unsolvable issues is unproductive, while showing gratitude for what they have leads to enhanced well-being.</li>
